Indian communities train young girls to care for the family and to practice household responsibilities

such as cleaning, cooking and reproducing.  While Indian boys are encouraged to pursue educational

interests, the girls are forced to drop out and conform to social expectations of being a ‘house wife’.

Since Cooking itself is science and socially acceptable for Indian societies: Penguin Books creates a way

incorporating cooking recipes with math and  science for girls who cannot have access to pursue science

related careers. In this way no one will even know the girls are advancing their knowledge in science and math.
